ArPACS is a PACS-type computer program designed as a uniform environment allowing to archive various medical data connected with a patient.
Data which can be archived involve images, verbal descriptions and administrative data.
The software allows full management of the archive, arranging records in groups according to different criteria (service diagnostics, scientific research, as per types of diseases) and is compatible with different medical equipment which constitutes the source of data (CT, MRI, ultrasound, as well as scintillation and thermovisual cameras).
A basic format of data in the images archive is DICOM 3.0.
The software is structured into modules, which allows free configuration of the basic program and facilitating its future extension.
The ArPACS system allows to increase the archive memory at any time by connecting external NAS-type disc arrays. This function allows to increase the number of examinations available online on a server.
The system can be started on many servers. Scalability of the system permits to divide the load generated by the transfer of images from numerous devices. It accelerates the operation of the entire system and, at the same time, prevents the decrease in speed of images transfer.
Examination images recorded on disks held by patients, which come from other facilities, can be quickly and easily entered into the archive.
It is possible to integrate the system with different systems of patients movement management (e.g.: with the HL7 protocol).
The system allows integration with the Client's RIS and HIS system within the range of exchanging data and creating the list of orders (so-called DICOM Worklist).
Our system is registered as a class II B medical device, so it is compatible with every X-ray apparatus, also the one registered in class IIB. Therefore, our device meets the latest requirements of the European Union directive.
